KW Microwave Corporation was founded in 1974 to serve the microwave industry with miniature microwave filters utilizing unique lumped element design techniques. The company occupies a 23,000 sq. ft. facility in Carlsbad, California, U.S.A.

KW Microwave’s products, manufactured along with integrated subsystems and covering the frequency range of 5 MHz to 40 GHz, have been utilized on a variety of military and commercial applications. The military applications include:

Commercial uses include:

  • Cable and wireless communications instrumentation.

KW Microwave was an early participant in developing products for Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) applications. Several of the Low Noise Amplifiers and Preamplifiers have been flight tested since our initial development in 1987. KW Microwave is leader in providing GPS RF LNAs and Preamps that meet high altitude and/or high power requirements.

Our technical staff includes a MIL-STD-2000 certified trainer. KW Microwave also is certified for solder standard WS-6536. Our quality systems are compliant with MIL-I-45208 and ISO 9001. On a program basis, KW Microwave does manage HI-Rel production requiring MIL-Q-9858.

KW Microwave has developed and implemented programs for SPC and SQC manufacturing management and data collection. Additionally, KW Microwave employees receive training on TQM, ESD, Safety, Hazardous Material Handling and other related areas.
